My Favorite BeautyCounter Skin Care Products

Soon after I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I began researching the best products to use for my skin during treatment. I was directed to BeautyCounter by cancer survivors and people in the health care industry. While I had never heard of the product line before, I was quickly intrigued by The Never List.

““The Never List™ is made up of more than 1,800 questionable or harmful chemicals that we never use as ingredients in our products. This includes the over 1,400 chemicals banned or restricted in personal care products by the European Union, plus additional chemicals screened by Beautycounter and found to be of concern.”

Two weeks after delivering my first baby, I was thrown into medically-induced menopause, which, as you can image, took a toll on my body and my skin. Then, came chemo.

The day I was sold on the products was the day my husband asked if I was wearing makeup. I, in fact, was not.

To get started, begin with the Skin Care Quiz.

My favorite skin care products

  • CounterMatch Collection. I started with this collection, which is now in prettier packaging. It’s silky on my skin.

  • Counter+ Charcoal Mask. I’ve been using this since September, and I’m obsessed. You can see it working.

  • Body wash in Citrus Mimosa. This gentle cleanser smells delicious. It’s been my go-to after every surgery, and is great on radiation skin. And, if it’s good for radiation skin, it’s good for any skin!

  • Body Scrub in Lemongrass. This scrub is great for chemo hair making a comeback! Seriously, though, it’s wonderful. And smells delicious.

  • Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream. Hydration has been the name of the game recently. I’ve been making the switch to the Countertime Regimen and have no regrets! It’s so soft.

  • Counter+ No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil. If you’re frequently on the road or out in the elements (oh hey farming and ranching friends!), this is going to be your best friend. Apply liberally and your skin will reap the rewards.

My favorite skin care products - for babies.

  • Baby Gentle All-Over Wash. Specially formulated for babies‚ this two-in-one hair and body wash is ideal for delicate skin.

  • Baby Soothing Oil. The formula—safe for newborns and up—absorbs easily without ever feeling greasy.
