Recipe: Campfire English Muffin Pizza

I’m an Ember RV Brand Ambassador, which means that I am compensated for my recommendations. That does not mean I’m influenced in any way about what my recommendations include. Because the truth is I reached out to them and convinced them I was the right person for this job. Because I adore their product, their branding, and their humans.

Use off-grid camping as an opportunity to think creatively about your personal recipe collection and your family’s favorite meals. As we travel with our Overland Series Ember RV, we have three cooking mediums at our disposal: indoor burns, outdoor flat top, and campfire.

Campfire recipes, regardless of level of difficulty, seem to be our go-to as we make memories with our family.

The key to an excellent campfire pizza is seasoned pie cast iron. With English Muffins, pizza sauce, and mozzarella cheese as your primary ingredients, the sky's the limit with your personal pizza.

Campfire recipes do come with a bit of “you’ll know when it’s done.” Keep the cast iron in the heat, but not directly in the flame, and be sure to rotate the Pie Cast Iron.

  • Spray English Muffin with olive oil cooking spray, or butter

  • Open with fork

  • Layer ingredients

  • Close English Muffin

  • Then, close the Pie Iron

  • Cook over fire
